B. POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS APPLICATION DATES
 
Early Application Dates
 Candidates applying for  Occupational Health and Safety Master’s program  ( without thesis) are required to submit the documents personally or by means of notary public to Final Registration  Office between October 10, 2018- December 7,  2018; candidates applying for other programs are required to submit the documents between December 1 , 2018 – February 8, 2019
 
C.     APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL INFORMATION
 
1. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR PH.D. PROGRAMS
 
For Ph.D. application compulsory official scores from one of the following tests are necessary: ALES ( minimum 55), GRE ( minimum 610) or GMAT (minimum 450). Note that validation of ALES scores is 5 years.
Those who apply for joint Ph.D. program are required to have minimum 80 ALES standard scores. Additionally, their Master’s degree  transcript average score should be at least 3 out of maximum 4.
Ph.D. applicants are expected to submit Foreign Language Proficiency document obtained within 3 years before the application date. The languages are English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Persian. ( if the official language of the applicant’s country is one the listed laguages, candidates are exempted from a foreign language proficiency document)
The graduates from Non-Thesis Master’s programs registered before February 6, 2014 are eligible to apply.
Those who graduated from universities abroad are required to provide certificate of equivalence.
Certıfıcate of equivalence is not required for foreign students acceptance to postgraduate programs. Applicants need to get the approval of their Batchelor’s and Master’s diplomas obtained from other educational institutions from Council of Higher Education.

2. MASTER’S PROGRAM APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
 
For Thesis Master’s program application compulsory official scores from one of the following tests are necessary: ALES ( minimum 55 for Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences, from General quantitative part), GRE ( minimum 610) or GMAT (minimum 450). Note that validation of ALES scores is 5 years.
For Non-Thesis Master’s program applications ALES scores are not required.
 
D.   FINAL REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
1. Original of undergraduate diploma for Master’s program apllication
2. Original graduate diploma for Ph.D. apllication ( not required for joint Ph.D. programs)
3.  Original of transcript
4. Certificate of military service
5. The copy of ID certificate ( ID number should be included)
6.Certificate of residence
7. Receipt of tuition  fee payment ( the document is given in the accounting office during the application)
8. Photo (4 photos for documents “4,5cm x 6cm”)
9. Duty place certificate ( official document stating your place of work is necessary to get a corporation discount)
10. Certificate of equivalence ( for foreign students)

*Discount rates are available here:  fbe.gelisim.edu.tr. Discounts for Thesis/Non-Thesis programs and Ph.D. programs depend on ALES scores. The highest discount rate will be implemented.
 
Note: The fees cover 2 semesters for Non-Thesis Master’s program, 4 semesters for Thesis Master’s program, 8 semesters for Ph.D. and 10 semesters for Joint Ph.D.  The ALES discount for programs which don’t require ALES certificate is not provided. Students are entitled to use only one discout from the list. Students who apply from not related majors will be obliged to pay “Scientific Preparation” program fee.
At the same time, according to paragraph 59 part 4 of Istanbul Gelişim University Postgraduate Education and Exam Management Regulation those who cancel their registration until  the course selection period ends will be given registration fee refund.  Students who cancel their registration under other conditions will not be paid any refunds for the current  semester and semesters preceding the cancellation.
